If you are experiencing pain

Cupping is an ancient Chinese and Middle Eastern therapy that uses small cups placed on the skin to stimulate blood flow and healing at the patient’s points of pain. This approach is also designed to eliminate toxins from the treated area and to pull blood and other fluids into the treated areas for faster healing.

Cupping Defined

What Happens During a Cupping Appointment?

During your cupping appointment, your provider will use a set of cups that are
usually glass or plastic but can be made of bamboo, metal, ceramic, or silicone.
When applied to the skin, these cups create a vacuum that draws the skin up into the cup. Your practitioner may use dry cupping, in which the cups are used on their own, or wet cupping, in which the treated skin is first punctured before the cups are applied. After cupping, you may find purple circles or bruising where the cups were applied, but the process itself should not be painful.

Conditions Treated

What conditions Does Cupping Treat?

Cupping is used primarily as a tool to alleviate pain caused by a wide variety of conditions. Most recently, this
