Rehabilitation

Rehab

Rehabilitation is the process of assisting patients in recovering mobility, functionality, and the ability to complete the activities of daily life. Physical rehab utilizes a broad range of techniques and tools to tailor treatment to the specific recovery needs of each patient. Goals and treatment plans will vary from patient to patient, but all will focus on the restoration of certain physical abilities that have been lost due to injury or disease.

What Happens During a Rehabilitation Appointment?

After your initial consultation and the development of a treatment plan, your rehab appointments will usually consist of a number of techniques and exercises designed to help you reach your goals. Accomplished with the assistance of your provider, these approaches will also include at-home exercises that you do yourself in between appointments. Regular evaluation of your progress and the adjustment of your treatment will also take place as needed.
